Vassilis Roupas was born and lives in Athens, Greece (1963). Initially he studied piano and computers, and later advanced music theory and composition. He composes electronic/electroacoustic music since the late 1980's. He is a founding member of the Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Association and a member of the Greek Society for Acoustic Ecology.
